Born in Erlangen (Germany), Johannes Breyer soon got into a profound relationship with typography and graphic design of every description of appearance and practice, especially printed matter and book design. Breyer is fascinated by the power and use of graphical tools such as space, form, image, text, word, and type in their alternating play and necessity; the challenge to consider the diversity of aspects and visual methods in work and to keep cultural tasks relevant.
