Adam dropped us a line to tell us that the third issue of twenty2wo magazine is finished and now available for online and offline reading
Glenn and our friends over at FFF have finished work on their 6×10 project. So eventually, what is it all about? Well, “We picked 10 up-and-coming designers and illustrators featured on FFF to interpret a six-word story.” The creations were then put into a hand-printed book.
There’s only 60 editions, and they are sold on a first come first served basis. If you want one, you’d better get in there early! We’ve ordered one, and when it turns up, we’ll put some nice pics of it on here - although there’s plenty of nice pictures of it on the official 6×10 site.
Alakazam! Issue 02 is here. This issue of The Wizard’s Hat invited responses from some of today’s most prolific illustrators, artists, designers and doodlers including Mike Perry, Damien Correll, Jon Burgerman, Holly Wales, Alex Bec, Gemma Correll, Matthew Barnes, Andrew Ainger, Matthew Dent, Joel Evey, Jeffrey Bowman and Andrew J.Miller. The theme was ‘magic’ and all forms it takes.
We’re told that the 24 page promo is printed on the GF Smith’s Naturalis Smooth Absolute White (330gsm/160gsm) and features Pearlescent foiling on the front and back covers. The launch is to be accompanied by a limited edition of 200 posters, also featuring foiled text.
The fifth in the series of ‘Naturalis’ from GF Smith features compelling photographs by celebrated Art Director Peter Saville and artist Anna Blessmann at the Tulis Russell paper mill in Fife. “I imagined something historic and craft-based,” reveals Saville, “but it was more like being at an engineering works or an oil refinery – miles of pipework, steam and noise. Very industrial and exciting.”
Naturalis x5 is launched on November 5th in Manchester. Contact GF Smith for further details.
