Matthew Hancock

Matthew Hancock

Cor, trying to pick just what piece(s) of work to feature of Matthew Hancock’s has taken me the best part of 15 minutes. His portfolio is literally overflowing with excellent print work. To think too, that Matt has only just graduated from the London College of Communication. He’s looking for work in London, but something tells me it won’t take him long.

Jordan Blood

Jordan Blood

Jordan Blood sent us a number of visuals to do with a project he recently implemented whilst on his MA in Graphic Branding & Identity at the LCC. Jordan tells us, “The identity was inspired by the internal Brutalist architecture which predates the National Theatre and the Barbican Estate. I modified Paul Renner’s typeface, Futura, by replacing the vowel letterforms with modernist shapes with the intention of drawing connotations to the theatre’s architectural design. The posters were designed to promote the visual language and to create a dialogue between the theatre and its audience. This was achieved by using an excerpt of a famous lyric for the viewer to complete in their mind.”

Edouard Pecher

Edouard Pecher

Edouard Pecher recently graduated from the MA Graphic Branding & Identity at the London College of Communication. Edouard tells us, “For my Major Project i have focused myself on developing a generative identity stystem which uses rules based on oppositions. Using oppositions in shape, direction, size, texture, and placement enabled me to create a graphic identity that is not recognised by a mark, but for its graphic style.”
