Recent graduate of The University of Cumbria, Martin Moores has written to us, “Just thought you would like to take a look at some spreads from an editorial piece i have art directed and created called ‘Grip’, which will be featured in New Blood next week. This is a magazine that I have created and in this edition the main story is about Allergic Reactions within the body.”

Just in to the DM inbox is your third helping of graduate goodness today from The University of Cumbria, this time in the form of Gemma Rice. There’s some really nice and varied pieces of work in her portfolio. Gemma tells us that she’s secured a couple of placements, and that after that she’s looking for work in Scotland.
Jack Edwards
Jack Edwards is a design student just about to graduate from the University of Cumbria. He’s been in touch to tell us about a new font he’s created. He says, “I thought i’d give you a sneak preview of my new font design before I exhibit it at New Blood next week! It’s called Zinc. Sans, and the inspiration came from a zinc plated screw! A display font that’s highly legible with a hint of flair on certain special characters.”
David Bushell
David Bushell is a recent graduate from Cumbria University with a tidy portfolio, including this very smart, award-winning, catalogue design.
