The digital arena has become an increasingly high profile and essential channel for the BBC. We are in the midst of building next generation products for all our globally renowned radio networks and music services, across a range of platforms, and seek talented and experienced designers with visual flair and proven interaction design skills to help our department produce innovative initiatives across the BBC. Working either independently or with a team, you’ll work on design projects from initial brief and ideas through to the point they become fully worked out solutions that achieve creative and business aspirations.

To find success, you’ll need to possess formal graphic design or design qualifications, as well as extensive experience of interactive screen based design. You’ll be able to show us an outstanding portfolio of successfully delivered projects, which demonstrate a strong flair for visual design and communication. Plus a knowledge and experience of interaction design, application design and information architecture that’s second to none.

Designer (Flash) , BBC, Audio & Music, Audio & Music Interactive, London

With creative flair, solid interaction design experience and strong Flash and Actionscript skills, you’ll make an instant impression on our Audio and Music Interactive department. You’ll become a key member of the team, producing innovative designs solutions for a broad range of multi-platform projects. Working closely with our interactive and network teams, you’ll play a big part in the digital development of our radio and music brands. More specifically, you’ll develop effective designs that create engaging user experiences and that reflect brand guidelines and research findings.

The essentials include a good track record in interaction design, visual communications flair, and a relevant graphic design qualification. Strong Photoshop and Illustrator skills plus a knowledge of CSS are also important. Support these talents with the ability to work independently, plus the drive to add your ideas and energy to every brief, then this will be an excellent next move.
