Similar style but I dont think I would call it copying. I think students should always do what they see other doing in order to suceed. Plus when you look close at the 2 illustrations, they are done alot differently, They remind me of old video game neighborhoods.

Not too mention, the poster your mentioning is like 5 years old, the style is bound to get ripped off eventually. Style is yours only until someone else tries to do something like it

Yep, I see the similarity in the work, but I think it’s more inspiration than rip-off. If it was a commercial piece done by a leading agency I’d maybe be a bit more critical…
