BBH

Fresh in the inbox from our friends over at Sennep is the news that they’ve completed the new site for BBH, the genuinely huge worldwide advertising agency. It’s a really nice site that conveys its global focus well, and showcases some ace work.

Hexday

JP from Hexday has been in touch to tell us about some new additions to the site where users are asked to pick a colour a day.

He says, “On top of the original idea of “Pick 1 Hex Color a Day” seeing the trends and the patterns that seem to occur. We’ve also added various features that encourage what we have called “Color Cross Sell” so visiting a single color http://hexday.com/color/82072C you’ll see who’s already picked it, what other colors are related and if any image samples have included the color.”

He continues, “There are lots more features coming in the next few weeks, but we’re making a conscious effort to not pass over to the color lovers side of things, the main purpose of the site will always remain “picking one color a day”. Many users seem to do it as part of their morning rituals.”

So, make it your morning ritual to go and pick a colour that suits your mood for the day!

Jan iú Més

The site for Jan iú Més landed in my inbox a few days ago. It uses footage of fashion shows in the background, whilst the user can navigate through collections in the foreground. The site was done by Mateo at Handplant Studio.

SeymourPowell

Julien at the previously featured Sennep emailed to let us know that they’ve just finished a rather dapper Flash site for SeymourPowell. You can read a bit more about the development of the site below.

“From designing the first cordless kettle in the 80’s to the conceptual interior of Virgin Galactic tourist spacecraft Seymourpowell’s portfolio is vast and varied. Sennep has designed a website that focuses on 12 case studies that demonstrate SP’s approach to create intelligent products that help people and businesses. The website has an extensive CMS that allows SP to update most of the website content and to create tailored portfolios for potential new clients. Don’t forget to rollover and click on the cards on the homepage :)

Sweet GIFs is a head-spinning assortment of goodness. A collaboration of designers and animators have turned one of the web’s most annoying creations into something strangely engaging.

CSS Artillery

November 11, 2007

Being a web designer and front-end developer,  from time to time I find CSS galleries a good source of inspiration. There’s a new one around that’s looking promising in the form of CSS Artillery. It gets updated often so it’s a handy little bookmark.

Letters & Numbers has been featured over on Aisle One, and it’s a rather nice portfolio of work containing examples of different design disciplines, notably print, web and packaging design.
