Jos Buivenga has some great typefaces which he’s distributing freely. Definitely worth getting copies of these, as they do look very professional. Thanks to Hugo from Studio Punkat for the link.

Namdev from the Midwest Visual Agency in Minneapolis has been in touch to tell us about a project he’s running. Jack Edwards
June 19, 2008
Jack Edwards is a design student just about to graduate from the University of Cumbria. He’s been in touch to tell us about a new font he’s created. He says, “I thought i’d give you a sneak preview of my new font design before I exhibit it at New Blood next week! It’s called Zinc. Sans, and the inspiration came from a zinc plated screw! A display font that’s highly legible with a hint of flair on certain special characters.”
FC Autobahn
June 2, 2008
The previously featured Autobahn wrote to us last week about a new typeface they’ve created. They said, “For the first edition of the Graphic Design Festival Breda (NL) we designed the FC Autobahn: a font based upon the lines on a soccer pitch. Applied with a chalk cart of course.” Nice work!
Grotesque
May 21, 2008
Xavier Encinas has emailed us to inform us that peter&wendy have just released their first limited edition poster, entitled “Grotesque”. It’s a double-sided 170 gr/m² Offset paper poster printed in black and PMS 871U. It looks chuffing splendid, and is only 40€, but you’d better hurry as they’ve only printed 100! Find out more here.
Play With Type
Jack Featherstone emailed us to let us know of a self-initiated type project he is working on. Play With Type is an imaginative typographic experiment examining letter-forms in different mediums and in different contexts. You can see what cool things Jack is up to at his site.

May 16, 2008
Dirty Mouse favourites Graham & Rob from Teacake Design have been in touch over some funky new projects they are working on. Graham wrote, “We are in Amsterdam at the minute working in a traditional Dutch Typography studio with Ewald Spieker.” To chronicle this impressive feat, they have a blog up and running, which has a day by day diary on it, including some ace examples of what they’re working on.
