Facing Desks

Facing Desks

Facing Desks is based in San Francisco and was started by Julie Cloutier and Alexis Petty as a space to support both collaborative and individual investigations.

Julie has been in touch to tell us about a new calendar they have just created. She says about the calendar, “Designed using the least amount of numerics, this twelve month calendar is a typographic exploration of the conventional representation of the days of the week, month, and year”.

Finally, the details: Hand screen-printed in black ink on 100% recycled paper. Limited edition of 50. $35.

Adam Thurland Poster

Adam Thurland sent us a link to this poster he created to celebrate the 50th Birthday of the Univers type family. The poster untilizes Fruitiger’s original design with the phrase ‘Twenty one going on fifty’. Fruitiger had originally created univers using the 21 weights you see in the poster.
