Qubik have some nice work - this website caught my eye. Another example of a portfolio built using Indexhibit.

The work of Christian Robert-Tissot is awesome; some of his large-format colour and type installation work is ace. He seems to have a real ability for typography, and his portfolio demonstrates his talents across different disciplines.

Ryota Kikuchi is a Tokyo-based designer, with a diverse portfolio of work. Definitely one to have a look at.

Thinkdust is an independent design studio founded by Alex Haigh in 2005. They have some slick work, and quite a nice site if only it was quicker to load.
